A friend once asked me if I preferred sun or shade, desert or water? Without hesitation I replied shade and water, but he felt just as strongly about the sun and desert. It got me thinking about how the weather and our environment affects our emotions, moods, and relationships – essentially, what energizes you and makes you feel happy?

For example, humidity renders me useless – I feel so cranky and sluggish when the weather is thick and heavy. But I do know some people relish the damp warm air. On the other hand, I love a wet rainy day… while others can’t even get out of bed.
