Top O the Day
On his last day of winter break from college, my son agreed to visit the Peabody-Essex Museum with me – a wonderful cultural experience tucked in the heart of Salem, MA (a stone’s throw from the common). A millinery fan all my life, I had been dying to see the special HATS exhibit… and it didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, we deemed the best photo inappropriate for public view. But for anyone remotely interested in the history of head fashion, stop by PEM between now and February third!

Ha! A photo deemed inappropriate for a children’s author to post on her blog, although it’s quite something….
(anyone interested is more than welcome to “Contact” me at upper right menu above)
You need to come to our church on hat sunday! (Mother’s Day to the rest of the world!) You can sport your finest!
I like your hat!!!
They had lots of fun ones to try on
I love that, JT!
Museum exhibits are really expanding, to say the least. Brings in more viewers, I guess. But hats at the Peabody?
I know what you’re saying – the whole “dumbing down” thang – but I really thought many were works of art… quite whimsical and thought-provoking.
